Welcome to Pyramed United Kingdom

Pyramed Ltd are delighted to announce the launch of the Under-and-Over®, U&O, pericardium covered coronary stent.

So what is the Over and Under® heterologous tissue covered stent?

The Over and Under® is a truly unique stent concept and design, first in a series of heterologous tissue covered stents, designed to set a barrier between the coronary blood vessel wall and it’s lumen. Intended mainly to address the treatment of saphenous vein grafts (SVGs), coronary aneurysms and acute ruptures the pericardium covering is engineered to an ultrathin layer to enable it to smoothly cross through tortuous anatomy and rapidly inflate where and when needed.

The Over and Under® is beneficial in situations such as in degenerated Saphenous Vein Grafts (SVG), where the lesions are less calcified than those in native coronaries. This single covered Pericardium Covered Stent (PCS) can also be used to treat emergency situations such as aneurysms, loose thrombus, perforations and fistulas that may not be adequately treated with non-covered stents.

Key Benefits:

The U&O covered stent is made up of only one single metal layer, radically reducing the crossing profile and increasing flexibility. The ITGI Over and Under® is a single stainless steel stent covered with processed biocompatible equine pericardium.

Due to the Over and Under® single stent design, low pressure deployment (nominal 5 atm) is needed, resulting in less artery wall baro-trauma and reduced debris into the blood stream.

The Over and Under® covered stent design has been tested showing excellent flexibility, trackability and resistance to radial compression (13 psi before crushing) compared to rival products
